Old Free Speech

This stuff doesn't compare favorably with old stuff! Also probably leaves out 90% of those who read it all in the paper just for fun. Less ad viewers, I would say.

Bring back the Free Speech in the Wednesday edition of the paper. It was one of the best things about that paper.

I used to look forward to Free Speech, too. It was one of the highlights of my week - a guaranteed laugh!

Takes 5 minutes to read the paper now.

Hard to believe this wasn't thought out better. Must have lost 2/3 of the audience. I know there are influentials who didn't want bad things out in public, but nowadays it is imperative to do so, or we will be robbed blind.

I know what they say about opinions, like something else, everybody has one. That said, mine is that the free speech is no great loss given the nature of 90% of the content. There's always the good old letter to the editor, or this medium, for someone who has something to say.

Can you imagine a town employee writing a letter to the editor criticizing illegalities by others? How about knowing about a bank deal that was improper--want to get sued? One must put up with trivia sometimes to investigate serious matters or it doesn't get inveatigated--which is what you would probably like.
