Good Fiscal Start: Now Require Bids

Mr. Maxwell makes some excellent points in the video. By calling for competitive bids, the County is saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in insurance and health care costs. The same will now occur with legal services.

The Outside Attorney position, and any other costly professionals, should be put out to bid. This would go a long way in promoting further savings and in restoring public faith. Mr. Dunn appears quite content (from the video) that he never installed any accountability. This Commission has a different view and should extend the practice to its logical conclusion.

What would they bid on? How much per hour? Results? Smartness? maximum and minimum costs? not over XXX per year, no matter what?
Are some hours worth more than other hours? Would Johnny Cochran cost more than Floozy LaToure?
