New F'ville subdivision considered

A rezoning request that would put 109 single-family homes on a 54-acre site came before Fayetteville Planning & Zoning Commission at the July 10 work session.

The site located at the intersection of Beauregard Boulevard and Ramah Road is currently zoned R-30, which would allow for significantly fewer homes.

Neighbors cited concerns over increased traffic congestion and stormwater run-off.

The proposal will be heard at the July 24 regular session.

The Redwine/Ramuth/Beauregard intersection is pain enough without a subdivision being there.Besides, my kids like seeing the cows grazing on that land.
-reserved for something more clever to say

If you really care about this, please attend the meeting on July 24 and be prepared to speak. Only WE can protect our community from our elected officials and the evil developers!

We'll have a good judge of what the current council plans to do on things like this in the future. The last council did a good job of standing pat on zoning issues. Let the developers/builders work around the County Use Plan as it stands. No need to increase density.

Does this mean there is still vacant land in Fayetteville?
What a surprise! I thought every inch was covered.
