Why Liberals Hate Ann Coulter

Mixer's picture

Liberals believe that they are intellectually superior to conservatives. When they cannot substantiate this irrational explanation for the conservative thought process, they attack the individual as cruel, short sighted, or racist.

If anyone blogging here who is personally attacking Ms. Coulter can match Ann's resume' I will welcome your criticism:

A brief history of Ann Coulter on Wikipedia

As an undergraduate at Cornell, Coulter helped found The Cornell Review,[7] and was a member of the Delta Gamma national women's fraternity.[8] She graduated cum laude from Cornell in 1984, and received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where she achieved membership in the Order of the Coif and was an editor of the Michigan Law Review.[9] At Michigan, Coulter founded a local chapter of the Federalist Society and was trained at the National Journalism Center.[10][11]

After law school, Coulter served as a law clerk for Pasco Bowman II of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Kansas City.[12] After a short time working in New York City in private practice, where she specialized in corporate law, Coulter left to work for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee after the Republican Party took control of Congress in 1994. She handled crime and immigration issues for Senator Spencer Abraham of Michigan, and helped craft legislation that made it easier to deport aliens convicted of felonies.[13] She later became a litigator with the Center For Individual Rights.

Coulter is the author of five books. All have appeared on The New York Times Best Seller list.

Now, tell us all about your resume and background if you think she's so shallow, ignorant and misguided. Establish yourself as being on her intellectual footing before you discount her as irrational and ignorant. This 'Gumpian' logic permeates every one of the liberal's hypocritical and overly simplistic passive aggressive attacks that I read regarding Coulter.

Simply stated, Liberals want problems solved and people helped, by a group or an organization at the taxpayers expense. Conservatives want people to solve their own problems but are willing to help personally.

The best analogy I have seen is this one:

If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. (Liberal philosophy.)

If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. (Conservative philosophy.)

Ann Coulter scares liberals because she has the courage and intellectual integrity to say what needs to be said without fear of the usual liberal criticisms, personal attacks or the race baiting(like we read about in blogs here)accusations that are the mainstay of the liberal tool chest.

Ironically, Ted "the swimmer" Kennedy, "champion of women's rights" and Hillary Clinton, the co-defendant, err, the co-dependent philandering facilitator ("I am not some little stand by your man woman") are what liberals hold up as 'how American women should be represented' while they simultaneously attack Ann Coulter (Michelle Malkin, et al.). As usual, anyone not in lock-step with the liberal ideals (Joe Lieberman for example) are criticized and ostracized. Of course, blacks are not immune from this same persecution. Star Parker, Jesse Peterson, Niger Innis, and Alveda King, Larry Elder, Herman Cain, Micheal Steele, Armstrong Williams and Clarance Thomas are but a few who have suffered the wrath of liberal hatred for daring to think for themselves.

Conclusion: As usual, the hypocrisy and personal attacks of the left are the results of FEAR and the inability to rationalize an intellecually superior argument.

Liberals hate Ann Coulter because:
a) They don't understand English
b) Many are still young enough to still know everything.
c) They can't stand the truth.
d) They, for the most part are intellectually disgifted.
e) They have serious gender identity issues.
f) They have the profound inability to see the beauty of the mind
g) They are "fa**ots" (NB Not a reference to anything homophobic)
h) They love Hillary
And lastly, they don't think being referred to as "Piewagons" is even remotely funny.
I LOVE that woman!!!

Let me tell you why I hate Ann Coulter. Now, I know that she says alot of the stuff she says just to get people angry...and it works! I'm not afraid to admit that. It doesn't mean that I should have stand idly by while she continues to yell and scream about "Oh, liberals hate this," and "Oh, liberals blah blah blah terrorists!"

By the way, nice job on the crude stereotypes. You see, I am liberal. However, I understand the English language perfectly. Oh, and I suppose you would say that young conservatives are smart and mature, right? And on your 3rd comment...news flash, NOBODY can stand the truth. Liberal or conservative. The public wants to hear that "Oh, everything's all right, go back inside, you have nothing to worry about!" Of course, we know that's far from the truth.

I really want to continue on with this list of bullsh**, but I'm honestly not sure that anything I'm saying is getting through your thick skull. You assume that simply because someone believes in a certain way that happens to be different from you, that they are wrong about...well, everything! Your ignorance is astounding. You assume that simply because someone is liberal, that they LOVE Hillary Clinton, and they LOVE gay marriage and abortion...and, judging your thought process here, you seem to believe that ALL liberals are like this. Well, I hate to bring back down to reality here (you seem to be enjoying your fantasy world so much), but I'm liberal. I HATE Hillary Clinton. I'm pro-choice, but I don't necessarily support abortion. Gay marriage doesn't affect me, so I don't care. This, of course, would mean that I contradict your idea of a liberal. But, wait! You said that ALL liberals are the same! That would have to include me, wouldn't it? However, I don't fit into your stereotype, and yet I am still liberal. So, I guess that would make you...I dunno, wrong?

Wow, after that message there must be quite a few folks who can smell the smoke. For what it's worth, let me stipulate those things you said with which I agree:
a) I think English works well for both of us.
b) "Oh, and I suppose you would say that young conservatives are smart and mature, right?" Well, I just remember what I was like when I voted for George McGovern and thought Timothy Leary should have been his running mate. I suspect that I have matured a bit since then, although my wife of 33 years would certainly disagree.
c) Yup, truth does hurt. Both sides.
d) "I'm honestly not sure that anything I'm saying is getting through your thick skull." Not only thick, but incredibly dense.
e) "Your ignorance is astounding" Why not try "Legendary"
f) "I HATE Hillary Clinton. I'm pro-choice, but I don't necessarily support abortion. Gay marriage doesn't affect me, so I don't care." Hillary Clinton is the only woman in my entire life I would even consider raising a hand against. The reasons for this would take up an entire post. I'm an adoptive father, but also pro choice. I just pray that the choice a woman makes would be for life. Gay Marraige?? Your're absolutely right! The only issue here are legal ones that might actually affect me.
g) "I don't fit into your stereotype, and yet I am still liberal" Are you? Do I fit your stereotype of a Conservative? I dunno, seems like a bit of middle ground here. Oh yeah, about Coulter: I think she is funny. Her brand of sarcasm I relate to as an expatriate New Yorker. For example:
"As for the pretty girls, I can only guess that it's because liberal boys never try to make a move on you without the U.N. Security Council's approval. Plus, it's no fun riding around in those dinky little hybrid cars. My pretty-girl allies stick out like a sore thumb amongst the corn-fed, no make-up, natural fiber, no-bra needing, sandal-wearing, hirsute, somewhat fragrant hippie-chick pie wagons they call "women" at the Democratic National Convention."
OK, so it is over the top. I hate tu quoque arguments, but Henry Rollins and Al Franken also go a bit over the top. I have also written to her in my disagreement with her concerning Public Education. Again, a tad over the top

Peace

Congratulations to the mainstream media for reporting half of a story in order to manipulate public opinion yet again. The original "issue" was that Bill Maher said that it would have been better if Dick Cheney had been killed by terrorists. She retaliated by saying that you might as well say the same about John Edwards. Elizabeth Edwards conveniently forgot the context and lashed out at Coulter for her "attack". Coulter responded to this obvious distortion by sidestepping Edwards' specific words and getting to the crux of the matter: Attempts to force her to debate only within liberal-controlled context are indeed attempts to silence her. In this light, this whole story looks very different, doesn't it?
