saving a spot is just plain rude... this has nothing to do with outsiders, if you want to check id's at the gate fine, but it's just plain rude to get somewhere 24 hrs ahead of time and "save" a spot.... beside's it's a celebration of america.... you should be proud to show off what your city has to offer....

It is very rude that the best spots are not roped off and saved for the people paying for this little show.

I have no problem how early someone takes a spot to watch firecrackers go off, as long as they all who will sit there are there.
If not, they don't own the place. Arrogance is pitiful.

VERY close to the park where everyone sets up. I must say, that I think most are PTC citizens. I've watched them the last 3 years set up. They mainly come on golf carts. But it has seemed to get earlier and earlier, so I appreciate what the City is trying to do.

You got it right about the city "trying to do."
All they will get for their verbal asking is that those who do such things will simply go even earlier to get an even better spot!
It really doesn't matter anyway how good a spot you save, there are those fat clowns who will set up right in front of you in the road and then stand the entire parade!
These are rude, dishonest, poor parenting people!
