Harry Reid bashes troops- again.

Harry "this war is lost" Reid is now attacking the troops themselves:

Competency

Competency is usually based on results. The past and current leaders have led us to believe that they had a strategy for success. Success has not been achieved. We have lost more American lives than were lost on 9/11. We have been involved in a war for a longer period of time than WWII. We have been told that a 'surge' will change the course of this conflict. So far - this has not materialized. I have not heard one politician or community leader 'bash' the troops. Our troops are following orders of apparently incompetent leaders. This is not a red/blue argument. It is factual. All of the disastrous predictions that were given regarding this 'surge' plan and our involvement in Iraq have come to fruition. What is frustrating is that we'll never know if the alternate suggestions, which were apparently ignored, would have brought different results. I fear the window of opportunity has passed us by. No one is bashing the troops - but we are rightly questioning the competency of our leaders.

He is an incompetent general. A yes, sir, fellow.
What has that got to do with 160,000 average age 19 years olds, and a handful of Guard foogies?
When I served, I didn't even know who the generals and admirals were!

I think it is the plural of foo, which is slang for FUBAR in the military (Fouled Up Beyond Any Repair, or something like that!)
Could be it can't be pluralized.

no problem believing you when you say you didn't even know who the generals admirals were. Liberals usually aren't in the know, but they never miss an opportunity to bash our troops and Bush. I hope they keep it up, guarantees Fred Thompson will keep the WH.

Accountability

Why is it that every time someone calls Bush and other members of his regime to accountability, the conservative cohorts cry "bashing"?
Bush, Cheney, Pace, Rumsfeld, etc are acountable for the mess in Iraq, they have blood in their hands as a result of their criminal incompetence to run the post-fall-of Saddam period.

Gonzalez at the Justice Dept, Bolton at the UN and Wolfowitz at the World Bank are other prime example of jackasses appointed to do a job they are not qualified for. If calling for accountability is bashing, I will be a basher, allright.

Who is Fred Tompsom?
I have never heard but one person bash our troops as such. Don't even remember who it was. They thought, due to the lowering of test scores and huge reeinlistment bonuses, that they were mercenaries, fighting for money monstly.
I doubt you can name 5 admirals right now!
