First off there is no "Age of Consent"

when dealing with a minor child and custody. The child can't legally decide, "Hey, I want to go live with the other parent" and have the court just grant custody to the parent on those grounds. Georgia judges will take into consideration older children's wishes when making a custody judgement. But the fact that they "want" to live there doesn't always make it a forgone conclusion.
