Cranium Deficit In Washinton

Let's begin with the approval ratings that were reported today: Bush at 23% and Congress at 19%, does anyone inside the Washington Beltway have a connection with there constituency? Surely these folks have something to keep them occupied, since our border with Mexico is a national disgrace, we have waged a stalemated war for four years with half our representatives opting for an outright surrender, english rapidly becoming our second language and a tax code that rewards underachievers while penalizing those that better themselves economically. We did not elect these statespeople to posture for reelection, we elected them with an aspiration that they were willing to serve on our behest toward the betterment of our land. Surely they can see that by squandering the fortunes of our forefathers while mortgaging that of our children and getting absolutely nothing done of consequence in the interim will bode negative for their political futures.
In an age such as ours, surely we have the fortitude to deny reelection to those who have long since served their usefullness in Congress to make room for new blood, if you will, that perhaps may have the energy and will to tackle and resolve tough issues.
As an example, eleven years ago Congress passed a major overhall of the immigration laws and to date they simply are not enforced. Who in their right mind believes that if a new law is passed, will be enforced? The average American will tell you to fix the border now and then deal with immigration--to do otherwise simply does not pass the common sense test. The folks living along the Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, California southern border need action now not political posturing

Business and the administration do not want to eliminate the cheap workers. It would either hurt our economy or raise too many prices.
A so-called fence is a farce. No matter how they do it there is a great probability that it will not work.
The answer is, if you don't want illegals working, is to put a few business men in jail for hiring them. The others will get the message. I don't want to hear the limp tale of, "I don't know whether they are legal or not."
