I Love It! A Landslide

Despite what you have read from some over and over, this election WAS over last month and the voters soundly rejected Steve Brown. Instead of 4 More Years it was No More Years.

The debate, the automated telephone calls, the so-called "lack of substance," Cal's endorsement of Brown, developers, stormwater, DirectPac, blah blah blah blah none of it mattered. As what happens in any election, the VOTERS mattered and the ones who went and voted could have cared less about all the BS listed above except for maybe wanting to vote Logsdon even more. Personalities aren't the main thing? Says who? Oh yeah, people that are WRONG over and over. It's a mayoral race for God's sake, not the Presidential election or life and death. People are going to either not vote or vote for someone that seems likeable, something that Brown isn't to a lot of people. He takes pride in that too.

So, a nice lesson about what you read online here. Looking at the poll the first time, Dan Tennant was leading. This time, it was a 50/50 split. You think that maybe the posters here are not reflective of the majority of voters perhaps? Yeah. You think Steve Brown represents the "average resident?" They don't seem to think so.

I deal in REALITY. To some of you, that's an unpleasant reality.

Gloating? I'm all about it. I'm gathering together screenshots of some of the more ludicrous stuff posted like the Divine Intervention of God getting Brown elected(I guess God didn't care after all)for posterity and an enjoyable second read through.

Basking in the glory of a city free of Steve Brown's reign and by a big margin.

Yes you are correct, he did win in a landslide, and did Mr. Brown call and concede, no he did not. The governor Mr. Perdue called and congratulated Harold, but Mr. Brown just couldn't manage the call. The facts speak for themselves 70% said that we couldn't take another day of Brown and that we really needed Harold to guide us for the next 4 years. WAY TO GO HAROLD!!

Is Steve Brown the first Mayor of PTC not to get re-elected? I don't recall anyone else getting the boot. Good Luck Mayor-elect Logsdon. I know we haven't heard the last of Steve Brown, I am sure the papers will be filled with his blah blah blah...and probably even FOX News!!!

I do believe Fred Brown beat Herb Frady in 1982 - but that's the only time.

That was the year after I graduated from FCHS (pre MacIntosh), so I was probably at college...but I'm betting the election was much friendlier and that Herb called Fred!!!
