The Peachtree City City Council will appoint a committee to recommend Scottish-themed names for Peachtree City’s West Village at the July 19 City Council meeting. The five-member committee will be chaired by former Peachtree City Mayor Fred Brown. The other four members will be comprised of one resident each from the Centennial, Wynnmeade, and Planterra neighborhoods, and one at large resident. Once formed, the committee will have 90 days to research and discuss possibilities, and will submit three names to the Mayor and Council. All committee meetings will be subject to open meetings laws. Applications to serve on the committee are available at www.peachtree-city.org and at City Hall. Applications are due to City Hall by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18. login to post comments |
