LOWE'S in Fayetteville...Customer No Service!!!!!

Against my better judgement, my family and I went to Lowes in Fayetteville yesterday. I say that because I've never had a truly good experience at the store and have avoided going in there for nearly a year. I wouldn't have went this time, but someone gave me a $30 gift card and it seemed a waste to not use it.

After yestrday's visit, my opinion of the store still has not changed. We entered the store and walked to the aisle that had the items we needed. My wife stayed on that asile looking at the different styles and I went to another aisle. I spent a few minutes looking for a specific clamp, before I tried to find an associate to help me. After walking several aisles away in both directions I found no one, so I spent another 10 minutes looking, finally I found the clamp.

I was on my way back to where my wife was and I met her leaving the aisle. She looked perturbed and informed me that she had asked two associates, at the end of the aisle, to help her and neither one would. They seemed more concerned with each other than with helping her.

Needless to say we didn;t make themajor purchase there that we were going to. We went on dpown the road and spent our money at Home Depot, where we were greeted upon entering, asked several times if we had found what we needed, and were treated like valued customers. Maybe LOWE'S should go down to Home Depot and train a little in Customer Service!!!

Lowe's business model is to provide some of the lowest prices available and how do you think they accomplish that? If you want great service, go to a full service hardware store where the service is included in the price, like ACE. If you want cheap, go to Lowes and quit complaining about not getting what you're not paying for. Lowes and Home Depot are primarily designed for and do the most business with the construction community, who don't need employees to hold their hand, what they need is the quality products at the low prices, close by, that enable them to give you a quality, timely, affordable job so that they can make a living.

Go to the Lowe's web site, click on customer care, email them your comments.
You will get a reply. Smiling

Lowe's seems to be a little short on personnel, but I still prefer Lowe's over Home Depot in Fayetteville. My favorite place is ACE Hardware on Highway 54.

Agreed. ACE on Hwy 54 is the best if you're in a hurry and you know what you want. Excellent customer service! Sounds like this original poster of this blog just wanted to vent a bad experience. I've never had a problem in Lowe's and I too prefer them over Home Depot any day of the week and twice on Sunday's.

Lowe's wins hands down. Even though their service stinks too. I had to buy 100 feet of a particular carpet that Lowe's didn't carry but Home Depot had. Went to the HD in Riverdale and they were out so the lady did call the PTC store to see if they had it. They did and I had my folks drive to PTC.

The "useless as boobs on a boar hog" so-called home improvement experts told my guys they only had 30' of this carpet available. My guys proceeded to tell the "hag" that they called ahead of time and verified that the carpet was available prior to driving the 20 - 25 miles or so. They whined and finally admitted that indeed they did have the carpet but it was in the back and had not been checked in yet and that it would be after 10:00 p.m. before they would get that done. I told my guys to go to the manager and after an hour and half the two "carpet slug customer service experts" were forced to bring the carpet up and satisfy the customer. Boy, did they retaliate and drag their feet and give my guys a hard time.

I had relapsed and started using Home Depot again after I swore them off after my home remodel job a couple of years ago. Well, as far as I'm concerned from now on Home Depot can just go to Hades for all I care. I am soooo over them.....
