It was like a whirlwind zeroing in on the parking lot at O’Charley’s Restaurant on Ga. Highway 85 as Fayette County drug agents in the early evening hours Friday seized 11 pounds of suspected marijuana and arrested five men.

Those arrested during the 7:30 p.m. buy-bust were residents of Riverdale, Stockbridge and Jonesboro. All were charged with trafficking in marijuana. One man was charged with possession of cocaine.

Undercover agents with Fayette Sheriff’s Drug Task Force conducted the buy-bust. The action was supported by patrol deputies and Fayetteville Police.

I hope to God our police and court system in Fayette County is extremely harsh and doesn’t cut the criminals any breaks. I will elect and support those in law enforcement and our court system who are known as hard nosed and tough! We don’t want to be the next Clayton County. Has anyone noticed what is happening to Henry County? We better tighten our belts or we’re next. Henry County is the proof!

Again what would be so wrong with a razor wire fence around Fayette County? Let's run some electricity through it while we are at it.

Keep up the good work. Remember if these thugs threaten you with a weapon you have a right to defend your life. Let's catch up to Dekalb County.

Sad that we are seeing increased drug busts in Fayette County, but great work on the part of the Sheriff's Drug Task Force, and Fayetteville Police. Can only imagine the potential dangers and messed up lives that were precluded by the valiant work from both of the departments! Great work and thanks!

If any successful dent is made in the supply of drugs, according the law of supply and demand, rewards for supply will increase and, as those rewards increase, supply WILL rise to meet the demand. This is a provable law and, no matter the desire to end drugs, the law of supply and demand WILL win.

"A prohibition law strikes a blow at the very principles upon which our government was founded."
"Prohibition goes beyond the bounds of reason in that it attempts to control a man's appetite by legislation, and makes a crime out of things that are not crimes."
Abe Lincoln

"The policy of the American government is to leave its citizens free, neither restraining nor aiding them in their pursuits."
Thomas Jefferson

"The prestige of government has undoubtedly been lowered considerably by the prohibition law. For nothing is more destructive of respect for the government and the law of the land than passing laws which cannot be enforced. It is an open secret that the dangerous increase of crime in this country is closely connected with this."
Albert Einstein

William James

"While the collateral consequences of drugs such as cocaine are indisputably severe, they are not unlike those which flow from the misuse of other, legal, substances."
Justice Byron R. White

George Washington grew and smoked pot, here are two quotes from his diaries:
May 12-13 1765: "Sowed Hemp at Muddy hole by Swamp."
August 7, 1765: "--began to seperate (sic) the Male from the Female Hemp at Do--rather too late."
There is only one reason to be worried about separating the males and females before it’s too late – potency.

And, finally, a little humor:

"I have every sympathy with the American who was so horrified by what he had read of the effects of smoking that he gave up reading."

I said it before , and I'll say it again. Randall needs to have 2 cars parked at the county line on all major roads , and respond to calls from there. The Fayette County Welcome wagon if you will.
There once was a time when the crimminal element was afraid to enter Fayette. Lets get that back!

Also, consider using a bright colored paint gun to clearly mark the 'get-a-way' cars! Heck, might be able to create some cottage industries if the punks continue.
