If found guilty of dogfighting, should Michael Vick be suspended?

If Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is found guilty of involvement in dogfighting -- I would be surprised if he isn't -- NFL commissioner Roger Goodell will likely suspend Vick. How many games should Vick be suspended for if found guilty? Would a seasonlong suspension be too severe?

Go take a look at the videos on youtube of dog fighting and see the disgusting treatment these dogs go through at the hands of animals like Vick.

VIck is a disgusting coward and if the NFL wants to be known as something other than a league full of savage beasts they should tell this loser to go find a new profession.

And Portis should be right behind hi..as his comments on Vick's behavior are evidence of what type of person Portis is.

I seem to remember back in'91 the Fowlcons drafting a QB out of mississippi whom they later decided wasn't good enough for the fabulous Fowlcons so he was traded. Now who was that? OH YES, I remember his name was Favre or something, guess he hasn't done much in the NFL, has he?
Owners, coaches, players all have changed and yet, nothing has. The Fowlcons won't do anything to Michelle Mexico unless the NFL makes them.

I think it is a sad day in Atlanta sports when a player can repeatedly do the things Mike has done. The team has done nothing to him. Anyone that has the gall to flip off fans who pay your salary, the team should have stood up then and done more to him than what was done.It was a sad day when I had to explain to my son why he did that to fans of a team my son loves. It was a sad day when Arthur Blank decided that ticket sales are more important than giving young kids a role model to look up to. It was a sad day when you read articles that say the only reason he is being picked on is because he is black, once again someone is alledged of breaking the law and its a racial issue.
Things in Falcons organization need to change and I mean major changes. Michael Vick will never be a Hall of Fame QB, he will never win the team a superbowl he will only bring more bad press to the team.
Should he be suspended? The answer is yes. Should the falcons or the NFL wait on a conviction? The answer is no. Hasnt he done enough already to warrant a suspension? To that the answer is also yes. I for one will not watch or support the Falcons a team I grew up watching.I will not allow my son to watch them I will turn him into a Colts fan.Where he can actually watch a player that has some morals and who knows what its like to do what you love to do.Thank you Peyton
Thank goodness that there are still players in the NFL that can be role models for our children.
Good Bye Mike hope it was worth it.

the outcome, some faction is given the opportunity to claim "it's because he's a black man". Funny how ignorance works in the ignorant's favour.

If Michael Vick goes to trial and is convicted of a felony, he should be banned from the NFL. He should also serve the appropriate jail term and the Falcons should be released from fulfilling the requirements of his contract. Maybe he should consider moving to a country that openly supports dog fighting. Or consider cock fighting? He could play football for that country and make advertisements for gambling & animal fighting venues.

Air Tran just dropped him. Wonder who else will? I hope the Falcons can his sorry butt. Even with his new hair cut. I guess he thought he might need to clean up his act. Way to late for that.

Suspend, my butt. Kick him out of the NFL (even Oakland). This is not basketball where the fans adore their felons, this is the NFL where felons can only be lineman and defensive backs. QB's have to be squeeky clean.

Bye bye Mike.

So, do you like my new picture? meow

First, put him on the treadmill they had for the dogs - then duct tape him to the "doggie rape station". Then put his sorry butt in jail.

Good God. I'm no fan of Paris heirhead Hilton - even she is doing her time.

I predict a one year suspension by the NFL.

I hope he does jail time for what he has done to so many dogs for so long.

He should go to prison like anyone else would. I hope they throw away the key!

Doesn't matter what the courts find out. NFL has a new Sheriff in town.

He should be sent to Houston and forced to quarterback there.
