Old Fuddruckers Building

Is Starbucks or Hooters going in there? I've heard both???

Do you know what they are building behind Best Buy?

Just for giggles. I hope its a Hooters haha. I can just picture the senior girls from Starr's Mill & McIntosh flocking to work there because they can make decent money for their choach bags & outfits from American Eagle! The look on their parent's faces = priceless!

And whatever the other major pet store is that is NOT at the Target Center @ Kedron is going in behind Best Buy.

...another chain pet store where the employees really don't know anything about anything. The only good thing I can say is they won't sell puppies or kittens. As much as I appreciate our locally-owned pet stores (in Tyrone and just outside of PTC), I abhor the fact that they sell puppies. Puppies and kittens should not be sold in pet stores, period. (But the folks at the Tyrone store have EXCELLENT selection and knowledge about reptiles, and I highly recommend them for that reason.)

That ought to be "the place." Strong coffee, WiFi and Hooters!
But I think you are incorrect. I heard it was to be a gun shop, mostly used guns, and a pawn shop in the back.
A horse stable is to be opened in the old Buckhead Brewery, with a tack shop upstairs with western clothes. The horses will be for rent.
Cheetah Three wants to open here but is waiting for the next large empty building, near the TDK bridge if possible.

It's going to be a Love Shack adult video store.

Finally an establishment that really represents the community. Now the kids will have a new place to buy drugs, hang out, and be destructive.

Not your father's sex shop

Relax folks, only people from Fayette and Newnan will shop there. Nobody from PTC would be cought dead in the parking lot. They'll go to V.S. instead. Nothing racy there.

These "professional" places should be easily accessible to the high schools (middle schools, too) to enhance their "comprehensive" sex ed classes. Great field trip! (Do they have those in high school?) Bas/MAV will probably volunteer to chaperon. Shocked

BDSM [bondage and sadomasochism] -- just what every teen needs to know.

Now I better understand why there's the prevalence of sexual addictions presented on Dateline's "To Catch a Predator" programs and the filth that Perverted Justice intercepts.

"I can’t help thinking that if this is mainstream, we’ve taken a few twisty bends." How about a plunge into the depths?

Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" seems to express our culture well:

"All day long I think of things but nothing seems to satisfy.
Think I'll lose my mind if I don't find something to pacify.

"I need someone to show me the things in life that I can't find.
I can't see the things that make true happiness, I must be blind."

Drugs and no-boundaries sex haven't brought contentment. Trying to "normalize" these types of places does nothing but feed addictions.

Denise, The comprehensive sexual education curriculum favored by the majority of Georgians does not include porn, a fact that seems to have eluded your closed Christianist mind.

Have you ever wondered how different life might have been for you had you gotten enough oxygen at birth, Denise? Hmmm?

No, not all. Laughing out loud

Sex ed doesn’t include porn? Then, you must not have read this about SIECUS.

Outrage over San Diego school's involvement in 'gay pride' parade

K-8 charter school will once again march its students under the school's banner in this summer's "San Diego LGBT Pride" parade scheduled to take place July 21, 2007, as part of the school's "social curriculum."

"These gay pride parades are full of triple-X pornography, male strippers, male escorts," Hartline [a former homosexual] notes. "It's just a very filthy, immoral event; and the idea that any school would march little children in the middle of that parade for any reason is really just more than the average person, whether they be Christian or not, can contemplate."

"Many of these people in the parade are women who try to flash their breasts without any top on [and] men doing all kinds of filthy things," he contends. "There are men who dress up as Catholic nuns and do mock sexual acts."

How about you subvert, BDSM, your paranoia about stores like this.

The moms of the H.S. kids you're referring to wont let their prestigious progeny go there. Not while we have a perfectly good Victoria Secrets, at the Avenue, to spend their husbands/lover's money at.

You need to change your listening selection to incorporate some Lou Reed, "Take A Walk On The Wild Side".

Give it a try, you might enjoy it.

Not everyone in PTC is a prude. A little S$M could be good for the sole.

I have many friends in PTC that are tired of "doing it" for new cars and furniture.

Life is short, try living, a little wild and free, for a while.

God forbid you might like it. Well, maybe not, you decide.

If nothing else it will give a new meaning to being "tied up".

Hopefully, you don’t work in L&D -– that might cause a little “paranoia.” Is that the kind of “BDSM” you like, or is it too tame?

“How about you subvert, BDSM, your paranoia about stores like this.” –- Did $ type this?

These kinds of places definitely "subvert" or undermine character and morals.

Surely you don’t want PTC to become like the SE D.C. - Anacostia area? Since you travel to Atlanta, you can find plenty of these kinds of places there. Midtown and Buckhead, especially.

Lou Reed’s "Take a Walk on the Wild Side"

“Plucked her eyebrows on the way
Shaved her leg [only one?]
and then he was a she” [Did the razor slip?]

[Forgot the pits, or is that part of fairy charm?]

Sugar Plum Fairies, transvestites, drugs, “colored girls” [a rapper before his time, I see] and promiscuity –- quite a deviant assortment for one song

Very Old Dude Reed also wrote songs about subjects such as S&M ("Venus in Furs"), transvestites ("Sister Ray"), and trans-sexuals undergoing lobotomies ("Lady Godiva's Operation").

Definitely not fare for “prudes.” (You must be $!)

Listening to such debauchery would likely "subvert" (debase or deprave) morals; therefore, I'll not "give it a try."

Are you one of those artsy bohemian (de bohème) types, Tinker Bell? (Or is your preference Peter Pan, The Purple Pixie –- a.k.a. Pansy)?

“good for the sole” -- Good for the feet? Rope burns and bruises really aren’t attractive.

“tied up” –- Marquis de Sade mastered such deviant aberrations about 250 years ago and wrote all about it while in an insane asylum. Ever visited St. Elizabeth’s while in D.C.?

Do you use your gun to enhance the experience of tying someone up?

To find out more about you should I look here?

“I have many friends [Rice Queen?] in PTC” -– Really? “Friends,” is that what they’re called now?

“S$M” – Is this how you support yourself, or are you on public assistance?

“new cars [stereo system extra?] and furniture" [Is that an euphemism for whips and chains now?] -- Do you report all of your income? Just wondering.

“Life is short” -- Yes, and AIDS makes it shorter.

I just wanted to see if Denise would bite.

She did.

When I read her reference to Black Sabbath's "Paranoid", the first thing that popped into my head was Lou Reed's, "Take A Walk On The Wild Side". It seemed appropriate so I went with it.

Every now and again it's fun to get people "all wound up" and watch them go.

Another S&M reference?

"all wound up" -- A bondage reference?

"I just wanted to see if Denise would bite." -- Now that sounds like Bas/MAV talking!

“the first thing that popped into my head” –- a song about transvestites? Must be spending too much time in Midtown and Buckhead.

Listening to classical music, particularly Mozart, is thought to enhance performance on cognitive tests.

"[Classical] music stimulates the mind, encourages creativity and helps to lay a foundation for learning that leads to higher intelligence and aptitude."

Using Lou Reed's "Take A Walk On The Wild Side" and “appropriate” in close proximity is what I call an oxymoron. Smiling

I see that we both had our fun, but I don't find S&M a joking matter.

Do you mean Traffic’s “Low Spark of High-Heeled Boys”?

If I gave you everything that I own
and asked for nothing in return
Would you do the same for me, as I would for you?
Or take me for a ride
and strip me of everything, including my pride
But spirit is something that no one destroys

Translation for bad-ptc =I jumped in and have now realized that I'm outgunned, outmatched, and outwritten. Having no logical refutation to the post I fall back on the "just kidding" defense so I look like a small idiot instead of a large one.

"outgunned,outmatched,and outwritten" hardly.

As several here know I have made many references to my music collection in the past.

Denise seems to have a good collection as well or at least knows a lot of good bands herself has she has often used music in her blogs as well.

As fairplayer is only a week old, I would suggest he/she refrain from speaking about what they don't know.

By expressing one's ignorance on a given subject ones credibility is easily tarnished.
