Two more tracts near Piedmont Fayette Hospital will have Fayetteville addresses. On Thursday night, the Fayette County Commission voted not to object to two annexation requests from Fayetteville.
The first tract is Dogwood Forest on Ga. Highway 54. County Planning Director Pete Frisina explained the assisted living center wants to hook up to the city's sewage system
The second tract is a 3-acre site, southeast of the hospital on Hwy. 54 that will house a three-story 40,000 sq.ft. medical office building.

Well I guess the City Council for Fayetteville won't be adding any additional public safety to cover these new areas since they haven't in the past. I hope Fayette County doesn't mind giving up these areas even though they will still have to spend there tax dollars covering this with fire and ems.

The City of Fayetteville doesn't provide EMS transport (ambulances), as Fayetteville residents are covered by Fyaette County Emergency Services for this (both in and out of the city/excluding Peachtree City). As far as Fire response to this area, it sould be the same combination of City AND County units dispatched as before (nothing changed). I doubt much was given up in this transaction as your talking about what, like two buildings, not like some big development.
