Guess what. Someone I know in the real estate business was approached by a real estate agent trying to sell the property in Coweta County that is supposed to be developed as such an "UPSCALE COMMUNITY". I think the landowners are simply trying to flip a large piece of land. It certainly is worth more now that they have bought enough politicians to build that bridge for them.

To paraphrase Mr Churchill, "Never before have so few,ie the Coweta developers, owed so much , ie the millions they will make on the land, to so many, ie us the taxpayers." After all, we are the idiots who are allowing the government to fund this bridge that will wreak our town and give the tax revenue to Coweta.

As a newcomer to the area I would love to visualize the parts
of town you guys are talking about (TDK, West Village, Bridge to nowhere...etc). Anyone have a good google or yahoo map of where this bridge will be built?

Indecent maybe, no decent ones.
You don't have to "visualize" the ones the tourist authority has, you can just read them.
Any good bookstore has Fayette and PTC maps.
Fraid you'll be forced to do a little research on your own. We don't deliver.

Selling land

Now, it seems that you are saying that someone (or many) would dare to use us (taxpayers) to make money!
I can't believe you would say such a thing. My goodness, next thing you know, you will be saying that our government lies to us about wars and such. It can't be!
Why, we might even start hiring and firing Justice department employees according to their politics.
People might start taking highranking government jobs in order to develop contacts to use when they leave to get muy richo (Mr. Snow, maybe) many others. Cheney comes to mind when he went to Halliburton.
Why nothing like that ever happens---these people go to church and are Christianos.

For the most part, land is always "for sale"

Wouldn't surprise me if someone was trying to turn it. That wouldn't effect the zoning that Coweta already has in place for this property.

I'll say this, if the bridge is not built, someone is going to be left holding a big bag of traffic on the Coweta side. Now that is what I would like to see.

Our Peachtree City mayor is trying to create a winfall for all his buddies buying East Coweta land. It's pretty obvious that TDK is a stupid idea, so why else would he support it?
