Suspect poses as customer before pulling gun

The Dollar General store at the Banks Station shopping center in Fayetteville was robbed at gunpoint early Friday evening, police said.

The suspect posed as a customer buying a drink, and when the cashier opened the register to make change he produced a silver handgun, police said.

The suspect then demanded the money, which the cashier put in the yellow Dollar General shopping bag along with the drink, police said.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male in his early 20s, approximately 5’8” and weighing roughly 180 pounds. He was wearing a blue hat with white T-shirt material underneath and black pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.

I have to sit down from the shock of all of this....this...is ....it's just too much.

I thought for sure that the criminal would be a 75yr. old lady walking with a walker and carrying bible! Son of a gun, sshhhheeeesh.... just when you think you understand criminals.......Hang on ...don't call 911 for me yet I think I'm starting to catch my breath....I still feel a little faint....but that's to be expected....

Ok if you criminals are going to keep shocking me like this I will have to sit down.....Unbelievable!!!! The thug was a........ hang on to your hat everybody......."a black male in his 20's" with a "I hate work" T-shirt on. Ok I made up the part about the T-shirt. I think it was the "I love crack and hate to work" T-shirt. Maybe it was the ever so popular "Everybody owes me a living" T-shirt.

Hard to tell there are sooooo many choices out there.

Can you be less annoying? Did you forget Jimmy Carter's grandson stole a game console from a friend/neighbor? He did not do rob/steal at gunpoint, however, he did the crime. Do we owe him anything for his grandfather serving the United States? What about the senior citizens griping about SS running out before or while they are retiring? Do we, as fellow citizens owe them for all the work they did? What about the positive contributions I made? We all need to be accountable for our actions and not generalize. Do not blame an entire race for one's personal actions.

You are comparing senior citizens to teen thugs???

Here is the difference:
The senior citizens have contributed to social security. Everyone knows it is going to run out, it is just a matter of when. The thugs who rob people have not contrubuted anything to society other than raw sewage, and carbon dioxide.

Jimmy Carter's grandson is a product of inept parents who appear from the outside looking in to not believe in discipline. I have ranted on, and on, here about the teens in PTC. Most of the kids here that commit crimes are white.

Although, you missed my point on accountability and the correlation between to the two...I agree that yes, it appears to me the citizens of PTC are committing the crimes. I am vehemently exhausted of the accusations towards the black race. The parents of these individuals are responsible to innately teach the children of our future to be accountable no matter what the race.

This is why I do my shopping up near my work in Vinings.

This just makes me so sad.

For starters, lady, you're probably paying a good bit more for the same stuff up there than down here. LOL ... HO HO! Anywho, beyond that, I hear there's no crime in Vinings at all, or all of Cobb County for that matter! Why don't you stop off and do some shopping on South Cobb Drive or Atlanta Road or Bankhead Highway on your way home some night? That's just two and three exits SOUTH of Vinings! Hey, I hear Fulton Industrial Boulevard is a real nice area to shop in!

"That's why I do my shopping up near my work in Vinings."

HILARIOUS! And don't get us started on why in the devil you commute so far to a job and live in a community you're so afraid of. You SHOULD be sad, lady!

This guy is obviously too lazy to go out and get a job and chooses to steal like the coward he is from people who can't defend themselves.
