An Atlanta man who works in Peachtree City has been arrested for the May 1 robbery of the Shell gas station on Ga. Highway 74 and Wisdom Road in Peachtree City, police said.

The suspect has been identified as Clinton Lamar English, 23, of Carson Pass SW, Atlanta, police said. English is a cook at the Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center, police said.

English is currently jailed for the armed robbery of the Eckerd Drugstore in the Thomas Crossroads area of Coweta County, police said. Coweta deputies located and arrested English after that robbery, police said.

Investigators from the Peachtree City Police Department compared evidence from both incidents and were able to come up with a link that pointed to English as a suspect in the Shell robbery, police said. English is also suspected in other crimes, police said.

English is being held at the Coweta County Jail awaiting his appearance in Fayette County Magistrate Court.

The Coweta County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation, police said.

Dang! I thought for sure the guy walked home from the robbery & that's why the COPter didn't catch him in the spotlight.

What kinda ethnic name is this? At least I guess he had Fulton plates on the car.

You sound like the PTC police department! The man was in jail in Coweta for another crime, and still is. He wasn't caught!
PTC police said they did an investigation and found him?
