No victims found, but shell casings recovered

Fayetteville Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at Weatherly Walk Apartments early Tuesday night.

No one was apparently injured, but when police arrived on the scene they could not find any of the reported four young black males who took part in the incident, police said. The incident occurred near the 1600 and 1700 buildings at the apartment complex, police said.

No blood was found at the scene but area hospitals were contacted to be on the lookout for victims suffering from gunshot wounds, police said.

Witnesses told police that the four young men were in two distinct groups, with one leaving the area in a champagne colored compact car and the other group leaving in a green or blue Chevy Lumina with Fulton County license plates.

Police found 9mm shell casings in the area including at least one that had been discharged into the ground. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department at 770-461-4441.

Is the location 100 Knight Way?

Why is there "Free Rent" & "No Deposit"?

Decent people who live here are probably scared of being hit with stray bullets. Hope the police step up patrolling.

Wonder just how much crime occurs at apartments and trailer parks?

A group of black males..huh? Why couldnt it have been just a group of males? Let's face it the county is going to hell in a hand basket, the recent acquittal of Dr Wayne Marshall Williams is only the beginning!!
