A McDonough man was arrested yesterday for trying to arrange a sexual act with an undercover Peachtree City police officer who he thought was a 14-year-old. Christopher Todd Walker, 33, of McDonough was charged with one count of violating the computer pornography and child exploitation act. Police said Walker engaged in "conversations of an extremely illicit sexual nature" during the investigation. Walker is currently employed as a general manager at an Atlanta area Chick-fil-A restaurant, police said. This is the 20th person arrested in the police department's ongoing undercover Internet sting, aimed at outing online predators who try to take advantage of children. On this case, the department was aided by the Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce and the Henry County Police Department. Police urge parents to keep a close eye on their children's Internet activity. Suggestions include keeping the computer in a common area of the home instead of a bedroom. Some parents have installed special software to track their kids activity online. login to post comments |
