Jennifer McKinley
36, Peachtree City

My wife, Jennifer, is the best mother I have had the pleasure and privilege to know and love. My children’s life is her life. Their world is her world. Their life is full of happiness because she is their sunshine and their rain. As days come and go, I know she will be there to warm their hearts and minds with a gentle, warm sunshine and sooth their soul with a cool, cleansing rain caressing their hurts and embracing their fears.

I gazed at my wife while at play with our two children in the park one afternoon. Her eyes were filled with laughter and her face had a look of pure serenity. Our children were totally encapsulated in her love. With her every step came two little shadows following after her. Wherever she moved, they were always right there--holding onto to her hands and hanging onto her skirts. Before her and behind her, Logan and Ashley were an inseparable pair. Couples who have not experienced parenthood yet would probably first ask, “Don’t you ever get tired as day after day, your two little tag-a-longs get in your way.” I know my wife would respond in only a manner as this:

“It’s good to have shadows
That run when you run
That laugh when you’re happy
And hum when you hum.
For you only have shadows
When your life is full of sun.”

In her presence, they are free of all life’s worries--this is so very comforting to know! The world will never really know what Jennifer means to me. The world, however, will know someday what she means to our children, because they too will pass that love, sunshine, and rain on to their own little shadows and the circle of life will repeat itself with the love only a mother can pass on.

That was a very nice tribute to your wife, for mothers day. Good job!

In the news this past week it was reported on the today show and one other news show that a mothers work is valued at 138,000. dollars. I don't know if that is before taxes or after......but the good moms are worth it.

Keep the good stories coming. Ignore the knuckleheads.

This is like a public display of affection.... no one wants to hear it or see it so why make something that should be private- public?

Gag me.

If so, I feel sorry for your wife. Ask her if she feels appreciated. Making it public was the whole point. It would make me very happy if my husband were to tell the world that he thinks I'm a wonderful mother.

Good job, Kevin. You're wife is a lucky lady.

Since you ASKED christi, I will reply - My wife and I are very happily married and I am a lucky man indeed; however, that is none of your business and my wife and I are modest people, comfortable enough in our love for each other that we do not believe in airing our feelings and affection for the general public consumption.

I will not get in to what we do for each other on a daily basis or what 'wonderful' things we have done for each other on special occasions. We are not the 'look at me' type and it is none of your business. Sounds like Maximus has a good wife too, my wife thought it was a sophomoric and immature attempt at romance and described him as 'clumsy' and embarrassing. I just simply laughed and gagged.

It wasn’t enough to compliment her – he had to post the ‘whole entire letter’ as if it was an award winning essay. Modesty is a real rarity in the world today - what a shame.

Have you ever seen two adults who couldn't keep their hands off of each other in line at the bank, or while waiting for food? Disgusting isn't it? Were you the woman being ‘pawed’ on and grabbing the gluts of the bald fat guy?

You know, using your logic, if your husband doesn't write about you in the newspaper it makes you feel 'unappreciated'? It’s sad that words are louder than action for you. You must have a very unhappy marriage. Tell us about him in great detail please. Us voyeurs want to see your private life exposed – ala Jerry Springer.

By the way, if it only happens on Mother's Day or your Birthday and not the rest of the year- what does that make you feel like? Should your husband reference your sexual prowess or do you draw the line with him advertising you there?

Narcissism and Hedonism are rampant among the mentally unstable.

Maybe when you mature you will realize that your marriage should be private. Do you have a tattoo of your husbands name on your body? Does he have a tattoo of his ex-girlfriends name on him from when “he was telling the world how wonderful she was”?

Mrs. Maximus had the same reaction as Mixer.

I'll admit, it was a little mushy and I did get a little sugar shock, but it's the thought that counts and no one should attack this guy for it. He means well.
