Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lowey, Jr. of Peachtree City announce the engagement of their daughter, Tabitha Ann Lowey, to William Howard Hardison, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Hardison, Jr. of Fayetteville.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Lovenia Lowey and the late Michael Lowey Sr. of Jacksonville, Fla. and the late Regina and Norwood White of Sewickley, Pa. She is a 2002 graduate of McIntosh High School and a 2006 graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in communications. She currently is a member of the US Women’s National Handball Team and resides in Ithaca, N.Y.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. George Cason Hardison, Sr., of Hoover, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Quenelle, of Talladega, Ala. He is a 2001 graduate of Starr’s Mill High School and a 2005 graduate of Furman University with a degree in philosophy. He is employed by Vulcan Materials Company in Atlanta. However, currently he is serving as 2nd Lt. in the South Carolina Army National Guard, recently deployed to Afghanistan.

A 2008 wedding is planned.
