Johnson the number two pick in NFL Draft

Calvin Johnson, a former standout at Georgia Tech and a graduate of Sandy Creek High School, was selected by the Detroit Lions. Johnson, 6'5, 239 pounds, was the second pick in the 2007 NFL draft behind LSU's Ja Marcus Russell.

Hats off to the Staff and Faculty at Sandy Creek! You produced a talent who succeeded at Tech, and now is a top draft in the NFL. You deserve a pat on the back!!
