SUV plows into fence at playground; no kids were outside at the time Two people were injured in a three-car crash Thursday afternoon on Ga. Highway 314 in Fayetteville between White Road and Creekwood Trail. One of the vehicles, a Chevy Blazer, plowed into the fence of the playground at Kids-R-Kids where the vehicle struck a tree. Fortunately no children were on the playground at the time of the crash because of the rainy weather earlier in the afternoon. One of the victims was flown to an Atlanta area trauma center and the other was taken to Piedmont Fayette Hospital, officials said. All three cars were apparently in the southbound lanes on 314 at the time of the collision. Because a medical helicopter had to land, traffic was blocked in both directions for a short time, and southbound traffic remained blocked longer while the wreckage was cleared. The Fayetteville Police Department is investigating the crash. login to post comments |
