CALL IT A CHRISTMAS TREE

It's good to see the American Legion having the guts to speak out against the political correctness that is eroding the meaning of the Christmas season. Persons of other persuasions, and persons of no persuasion, are certainly free to celebrate whatever they want to celebrate. Shame on Steve Brown for pandering to the liberal politically-correct mentality, or worse -- possessing the politically-correct mentality.

Call a Christmas tree a "Christmas tree".

I'm not really surprised. Brown has consistently aligned himself with liberal political interests -- Virgil Fludd, Fayette Democratic Party, Clayton County representatives, NAACP, and all other proponents of dividing Fayette County into districts -- and it's clearly on record in the Citizen archives. He never seeks to accomplish things through our Republican representatives. They are quietly, and some not so quietly, hoping and praying he will be defeated on Tuesday.

So his taking the "Christmas" out of "Christmas Tree"? No, I'm not at all surprised.

All Republican voters worth their salt need to get out and vote Brown out of office Tuesday.

Voting Brown out requires a viable alternative that stands for something and lets his positions be know.

We don't have such a candidate.

And before you say we do, list his defined positions here on how he will do things. Not platitudes like, "he will study the issue."
