WWII Heritage Days at Falcon Field Today.

Don't miss this jewel. The Dixie Wing guys and gals at Falcon Field are sponsoring their 3rd or Th Annual WWII Heritage Days featuring live Allied Forces vs. the evil Jerrys battle reenactments. Walk through the encampments and see vintage military vehicles and weaponry. This is a very historical and nostalgic event that is well worth attending. There's a $5 donation to get in and kids under 14 are free. There's only one day left and it's a shame this wasn't publicized.

My kids loved it and asked so many questions about WWII. We got to see and meet many WWII heroes that won't be with us for much longer.

Thanks Dixie Wing folks and all the reenactors that came from afar to put this great event together.

WWII HERITAGE DAYS

Come and enjoy. And if you're lucky you can see Mayor Logsdon walking around with his mayor name badge on hoping some dumb fool will come tell him what a great job he's doing. What a political hack. Typical.

Why the Citizen didn't announce this event I have no idea. Come on guys....that's your job.

Actually there was a big front page story on the Weekend section of the paper on April 6.

See: WWII Heritage Days/ Keep ‘em Flying

I wasn't able to make it out this year, but from what I've heard there was a pretty good turnout, despite the weather.

I feel silly for missing that one and I stand corrected. Or why did I miss that? Hmm... Anyways...great article by The Citizen. Next time guys please give that as much front page coverage as you did that silly bike race.

It really was a great event. I'd encourage everyone to go see it next year.
