Two men have died from injuries they received in a violent car crash in Peachtree City six days earlier.

Leonard “Lennie” Dunn of Fayetteville was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon, according to a family member. And John Minaberry of Fayetteville died Wednesday morning, according to an online blog posting by family members.

Seconds before last Wednesday’s crash, Dunn was driving his older model Porsche Targa convertible north on Ga. Highway 74 with Minaberry in the front passenger seat. A southbound car turning left onto Aberdeen Parkway pulled into the path of Dunn’s vehicle, causing the crash, police said.

The front of Dunn’s vehicle was crushed such that the dashboard compacted significantly in towards Dunn and Minaberry.

The crash also seriously injured the driver of the other car, Melissa Painter of Fayetteville. All three victims were flown in three separate medical helicopters to hospitals for treatment.

Officials said this is the first crash in Peachtree City where three separate helicopters were needed to transport victims.

A memorial service for Minaberry will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Ga. Highway 314 in Fayetteville.

Dunn's funeral will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at J.F. Floyd Mortuary at 235 North Church Street in Spartanburg, S.C.; a viewing will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

For Dunn's friends who can't make the funeral, a memorial service will be held Saturday, April 14 in Fayetteville at 2 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church on Ga. Highway 314 with pastor Knox Herndon.

I am just in awe of how wonderful everyone has been to our family during this extremely difficult time. I have received an enormous amount of phone calls and emails with an outpouring of Love, Compassion and Kindness.
I am so grateful that God blessed me with the opportunity to be Lennie's wife, He was not only a wonderful husband but a great Father to April and Aimee and he dearly loved our grandson Noah.
It means so much to us to know that Lennie touched so many lives, and although my heart aches with tremendous pain, I am comforted in KNOWING that he is truly "Home" and that I will see "My Prince" again in Heaven.
Sincerely,

Barbie Dunn

I just want to say thank you to EVERYONE. I can't even tell you how much it means to the whole family and everyone who loved him to know that there are so many people that were touched by my Dad. He was truly a man of love and honor and to know that he had so many people that loved him is truly wonderful. These two men have touched so many people and their hearts are forever joined. Know that God had loaned us two of his most beautiful angels and we are the luckiest people here. Thank you again to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We love you all.

Love April Fulton
I was so lucky to have the best Daddy ever.

I think I speak for us all when I say our hearts and prayers go out to all the family and friends of those affected. This community is a bit colder today with the loss of our friends Lennie and John.

Our deepest condolences to all who are left with heavy hearts and fond memories of these two men who were, by all accounts, so full of life. May you find God's strength to forgive and bond with the warm network of people whose lives were touched during these men's stay here on Earth. Hold closely to the memories of the happy times you shared with them, and forge forward with a legacy they would both be proud of. It is my sincere prayer that all involved will be able to overcome past heart aches and build bridges toward one another as you greive. God's blessings upon you all.

Kevin "Hack" King and family
