The mayor wears no clothesIt was Logsdon who was trying to force the city’s hand on hooking Senoia onto our sewer. He said the Water and Sewer Authority was in financial distress. He had backroom meetings with Senoia, the Water And Sewer Authority (WASA) and his developer friends on the issue. "Logsdon said the issue was complex. He summarized that approval of Senoia’s request would not change the growth patterns in or out of the City. If the request were turned down, the City’s rates would likely go up." (City Council, June 1, 2006) We later found out a group of Fayette County developers wanted to build huge city-sized developments in east Coweta County. “Growth patterns” changing were definitely on their minds. Oh, and the second lie was WASA did not raise the sewer rates as the mayor had bluffed. On September 12, the Mayor Harold Logsdon said that a decision on TDK had to be made that evening because the sale of the Pathway property was definitely closing on Friday, September 15. Logsdon told the city council that there was no more time remaining to examine the TDK situation. He lied. Coweta County recently postponed rezoing the McIntosh Village tract (The "McIntosh" development(Coweta on TDK) on the end of the proposed TDK extension will include: A 1558 acre site. The plan proposes 3164 residential units; a town center of 169 acres with 946050 square feet of commercial space and 119650 square feet of office space.) until they found out if Peachtree City would proceed with TDK. The Coweta government wants our city to have all the traffic. According to the Newnan Times Herald, Mayor Logsdon made the following statements regarding TDK: "I have been a proponent of the TDK extension." "I think the mayor's office needs to take a lead on that." "I think we need to get in the ballgame, and figure out what we need to do to move that thing forward." "That road is important to Peachtree City." "Now we can't do it quick enough." Who exactly is the mayor working for anyway? Young Lover O Freedom's blog | login to post comments |
