The way our trees are getting knocked off, I'll bet Mayor Logsdon supports the bill.

Anything that props up the developers, he's for it. Anything that promotes public drinking of alcoholic beverages and public smoking, he's for that too.

have we had trees cut like you claim?

On Hwy. 74 all the way to Hwy 54 for now, but the plan is to cut even more trees...to I85....no it's not for billboards.....you are correct there.

It is being done to accomodate cow-eta county residents...so that cow-eta county tax payers don't have to PAY to widen Fischer Rd, all the way to I85.

They want us to ruin our community instead. Some of us take umbridge...

but the trees cut from 74 were not on City Right of way. The STATE DOT has owned this right of way for years, so technically it is ours, but certainly not the Cities. Smiling It's certainly not Coweta that is causing the trouble now, unless Rockaway generates a LOT more traffic than I think. That area of 74 south of 54 has needed widening for a while, and I would rather do it before gridlock sets in. If you have a better idea about it, let's hear it.

So if you want to try again, tell us all where has our City has condoned cutting trees off of our City land, I'm waiting.

I have lived here 26 years and every time a new strip shopping center or otherwise was started, the city ran in after numerous unauthorized trees were cut and made static, but did nothing but ask them to replant some shrubs---no Bushes. Those ugley pollinating bushes are still growing and too low for visibility, to drive!
It is a game!

I've got one for you. Close to 74 & Redwine...Group VI wanted that property to be part of PTC. But they knew that if they annexed prematurely they would have to abide by the tree ordinance. Sooooo...they clear cut the property while still part of the county and then immediately requested annexation to which they readily got.

Does that one count?

I think not. We have folks on here that have claimed PTC is destroying its trees. I think we realize that the City isn't built out yet. But it's the misconception that PTC had 74 South clear-cut that continues to amaze me.

I know of the property you speak of, in my opinion, it's not a bad looking building either, if I may say so. After riding by it a few times, I'm not sure of the difference in the way this building looks and others that are currently in the City. I've seen properties clear cut MUCH more than this one that are clearly in the City, these were clear cut clearly before Logsdon became Mayor.

2ndly, did the annexation even go through? I ask because I'm not sure.

State DOT clear cut the trees. Like it or not it was inevitable. Wait til they go all the way to 85. Then wait til they widen 85 heading North. How crappy will Starrs Mill look then?

Yup...it's a nice building. They still clear cut the property in a shady manner. Oh well. It's to be expected when Group VI is involved. PTC did enable it. I'm 99% sure that property got rezoned...lest I was mislead.

I just hope the pretty building's roof doesn't leak and the doors will open and close properly. Remember...Group VI built it.

It was inevitable for 74 and the trees.

As far as Group6, yes they are obviously connected.

Submitted by skyspy on Tue, 03/27/2007 - 7:43am.

Group VI couldn't build an outhouse and do it right, if we let the boyscouts do it for them.

The bottom line is many trees have been cut because we have built way beyond the original city plan. We need to stop annexing. The only reason for TDK or the widening of Hwy 74 is to accomodate coweta subdivisions built immediately to our west. I'm talking about heritage point and the other subdivision to the west of that. They are cluster homes to top it off.

Whether PTC cut the trees or the state did really doesn't matter. Next thing you know the city of Deacatur will be annexed into our city. If any 5 FOOLS could get that done this current council could make it happen.

Because referring to someone in the manner you do shows some deep troubles, in my opinion.

Better luck next time in quest for office in PTC.

Submitted by skyspy on Tue, 03/27/2007 - 5:45pm.

Deep troubles??

No just deep disgust!!

Group VI built the police station, and the tennis center, both leak and are filled with black mold. The attack still stands.
Now because our councilfools like to throw away our money, this same group of knuckleheads are going to get paid to repair what should have been done correctly the first time. They shouldn't have received even one dime until they completed the job correctly.

Seriously, we should have hired the eagle scouts to repair both buildings, and we would get our monies worth.

What do you mean we support this bill? They are using PTC as an example of how the state of Georgia can win the war against trees. Our state gov. thinks if a small city can clear cut and be successful in the war against nature, why not the whole state??!
Not only do we support it, but we are being used as an example to follow.

That seems to be our new slogan, and harold and the retards are proud of it......"PTC Winning the War Against Trees" Actions speak more loudly than words....we are cutting down more trees everyday.... so the councilFOOLS can get their kickbacks.

I thought this was supposed to be like Hilton Head, small, exclusive, and at build out......

ps: we seem to be winning the war against cops too.
