Thank You Citizens and Law Enforement of Fayette County

Peachtree City and Fayetteville have been listed as among the safest cities in our country. I feel this is due to a citizenry that cares - and outstanding law enforcement practices. I shuddered the other day when I saw on the news a lady being robbed in a public parking lot while patrons appeared to calmly walk by. (They may not have realized what was happening.) Today a friend and I were talking in a parking lot in Fayette County. We may have looked distressed since one of us was on the cell phone trying to contact another friend. A gentleman looked over and politely asked if everything was all right. We smiled and answered in the affirmative. We were so impressed that he even was concerned!

As I left the parking lot - I noticed that a Fayetteville County Sheriff was driving through - and later a Fayetteville City Police car pulled in.

When one reads the newspapers, it is obvious that there is crime and criminals in Fayette County. I for one feel protected by our law enforcement personnel and the concerned citizens that I have encountered. I am sure that there are others who have had similar experiences.

Yes, thanks to all who protect and serve in our area.

Now please go and arrest "David's mom" for lying to everyone.

Let's see. My comment was:

Peachtree City and Fayetteville have been listed as among the safest cities in our country.

Your 'research' shows that PTC ranks 97th out of 100 safest small cities. Where is the 'untruth' in my statement?

Have a blessed day! Again - thanks good citizens of Fayette County - its a pleasure living here!

The realators are going to lynch you for outing the truth....you know that right? That was one of their selling points, also the schools, but now Cherokee County is ahead of us in test scores.

Do you need my off-duty officer to protect you? Let me know....

I wish the police dept would come up with their version of Lt Steve Rose who has a column in the ajc. He has a neighborhood watch column...humorous and informative.
I wish the PTC police would break down the crime stats for us: ie what crimes, who is commiting them, not even the names, just the age group, and immigrant status, what are we talking about.....I think the realators pay off the cops to keep us in the dark about crime here. Also it would be great if they had just a basic information class on personal, and neighborhood safety that would be great.

I wont be needing any additional security. I have more than enough as it is.

Dog, guns.

If all else fails, I've got three fire extinguishers.

I've been hearing a lot about this. Where does it list F'ville and PTC as the safest? I'd like to know so I can brag to my old friends back in Maryand. Lol.
Thanks!

Your words of thanks are more appreciated than any raise our governing bodies chooses to grace us with. Most often their opinion is simply that we are overpaid and under worked. They don't have a clue!!!!

Overall we have have an outstanding bunch of men and women watching our backs while we sleep and shop. Keep your eyes opened though. As good as they are they can't be everywhere at once. Be alert and ready to respond. There are many of the "good guys" who read the Citizen blogs and I'm sure your words will be an encouragement to them.
