TDK exposed, time to kill it for goodSay what you want to about former Mayor Steve Brown, but he tells the truth and battles for the populace. He called it just like it was in his letter to the editor on this very site dated 03/06/2007. “The fact that Mayor Logsdon is still trying to convince everyone that the TDK Extension is going to help PTC/Fayette County is senseless. Please note, the traffic data WITHOUT TDK and the accompanying development are horrendous, so explain to us how tens of thousands more cars make things better. The large pavilion-style shopping center proposed for the Coweta side of TDK will bleed Peachtree City and Fayette County of millions in sales taxes annually and cause traffic back-ups. The shopping giant is solely dependent upon direct access to Hwy. 74, and it goes away without it. That is why the developer is willing to foot the bill for the four-lane bridge — which would be needed — to Hwy. 74.” Now go read today’s Citizen piece entitled, “TDK is key to getting OK for big Coweta project” and see if Steve didn’t hit the nail on the head. I think Mayor Harold Logsdon ought to be investigated. No one is going to do this kind of damage to a city without lining his pockets. Everyone is furious that we’ve had to get in the boxing match with our own city council over TDK. Jones's blog | login to post comments |
