Woman charged with cruelty to children; allegation involves 8-year-old daughter Fayetteville police have arrested the assistant director of the Fulton County Department of Family and Children Services and charged her with one felony count of cruelty to children, police said. Cylenthia Clark, 38, of Knight Way, Fayetteville, was arrested Saturday on the charge, which stemmed from a report to Fayette County DFCS that the victim, Clark’s 8-year-old daughter, had marks on her back and arms, police said. When Clark was arrested Saturday, police took her three other children into protective custody and turned them over to Fayette County DFCS, police said. Those children were 3, 5 and 6 years old, police said. The police investigation began March 1 when Fayette County DFCS notified Fayetteville police of the initial complaint, which came from the elementary school the victim attends, police said. login to post comments |
