Hey folks. How about a truce here. These blogs aren't even worth reading anymore. Everyone keeps repeating the same old crap regarding our national and international political situations. It's repeatedly the "Same Old {{{S#!+}}} Just A Different Day. Plus....Nobody's minds are being changed by either side or their repetitious arguments.

My Goodness how I miss something relevant to discuss on this blog. You know...the good old days when we discussed "King Pin" McNally, Greg Done, Bruce Jordan, The Idiots and their Tennis Center. Did we forget about some of the morons that are still running our school board?

Forget trashing Bush and Carter. Let's get local and personal. Like Lynn Wastemoreland and John Lewis. Mitch Seabaugh and the Osama Salami Bologna gal.

Think about it.

The R's have Ann Coulter.
The D's have Al Franken and Bill Maher.

What are the differences?

The R's have Foley the Faggot.
The D's have Barney Fag.

What are the difference?

The R's have George W Bush?
The D's have Jimmy Carter?

One's in power and the other one had his chance. They've both failed in many ways.

The R's have Fox News.
The D's have CNN News.

The R's have ineffective leaders like Hastert.
The D's have ineffective leaders like Pelosi.

The R's control the White House.
The D's think they control the White House.

The R's are corrupt and self serving.

The D's are big wasteful spenders.

(Personally I'm grateful for both of them)

Come on guys. We're screwed either way we go here. Let's quit peeing on each others feet and telling each other it's raining. There's really not that much difference between these two corrupt entities.

Let's keep the Citizen Blogs focused on local issues.

Is this the new propaganda to cleanse the republican party for the next election: "we are all the same?"
We are NOT all the same, only in some cases such as overspending and corrupt politicians.
The philosophy of the two has not changed:

One for business
One for people

One for rule of law
One for rule of brains

One for deception
One for liberalism

One for two classes of people (haves and have nots)
One for four classes of people( a few on each end, and two middles)

One for war
One not until last resort

One for religion in politics
One not

These will never change.

Jeff....it's Git Real. You have to understand that Get Real was killed off by Cal precisely 44 weeks ago for impersonating a "Really Whacked Out Lefty" (who would have made you look like Newt) and whose name was Aggressive Progressive. It was really fun while it lasted. My fatal error was being honest and confessing the truth. May Get Real rest in peace. Anyways, Git Real is alive and kicking and has survived on the Citizen for some 43 weeks. Smiling Now....enough of that totally useless information.

Yes, I do like those quotes. Though I confess I do not recognize Mr. Talleyrand's name I especially find his words most intriguing. Thanks for the thought and the coerced history lesson. By the way... does Aaron Hill still play for the Blue Jays? Eye-wink

was a friend of Alexander Hamilton and helped lead the French Revolution. As to Aaron Hill, hes still with the Blue Jays but the quote must be from his great-great-great-great grandfather who died in the late 1700's. Probably a rugby player.

I'm not against common sense at all, but the "Rule of Law" is crucial to a Constitutional Republic.

Have you ever noticed just how many lawyers it takes just to TRY and rule by law instead of edict?
We let more unlawful acts get away than we prosecute due to that fact---that we only can TRY.
Can you just imagine how bad it would be for us if the President were allowed to run the country without written laws? Just whatever he and his advisers thought would be all that mattered.
Why, the President might lie to get us into war without laws!
Why, he may "out" our secret agents and ruin their reputations without laws. (of course "plausible denial" is used to protect the actual president, fall guys take the heat,,,Libby)
Well, we might even fire a large chunk of our Federal District Attorneys if they were convicting any republicans and not enough democrats. Not exactly illegal, just immoral.
Why, we might grant huge government contracts to corporations who have made, or will make, some of our top politicians in power rich! Halliburton comes to mind.
Why we might question the meaning of the word "is," as to what it actually means if it weren't spelled out by law!
