Fortunately, many people do not believe in "cut and run". We believe in supporting our President, our military and our desire to make the United States and the world save from religious and political fanantics who believe in forcing their beliefs on others. Well, the Gathering of Eagles,www.gatheringofeagles.org, is an event that will be drawing thousands of Vietman Veterans to Wasington D.C. on March 17 to "protect" our national monuments from protesters who, have in the past, felt that red paint on the Capitol is the way to protest. Check this effort out! It has the support of thousands.

My brother is a Vietnam vet. If you are serious, shame on you, and you can go to HELL.

Yeah, desecrating property, especially national monuments, does more to hurt someone's cause than to make a point, in my opinion. I'm glad you're protecting them. By the way, do you think that you can also protect the US Constitution and keep President Bush from wiping his butt with it?

What an appropriate screen name!

"....our desire to make the United States and the world save from religious and political fanantics who believe in forcing their beliefs on others."

What in the blazes are we trying to do with the beliefs of Muslims in Iraq? Force democracy down their throats maybe? How dare someone support the troops by wanting them out of the middle of a civil war, as described by the NIE, the major intelligence agencies, other countries in the region, and most Americans. Get in the fight if you feel so strongly that is what must be done, but you sound less than cognitive when you suggest those who want troop deaths to STOP don't support the troops.

While I support your right to demonstrate peacefully for your opinion, I believe your use of the "occupation" word to be wrong.

Will your group protest the genocide that follows US withdrawl? Who will your group blame for thousands killed then?

Can't wait till you are protesting $5.00 a gallon oil because Iran now owns Iraq's oil.

Do we set curfues in Iraq? Do we conduct assaults on Iraqi cities such as Fallujah for military ends? Have we turned over 100% of policing actions to Iraqis? Do we conduct check point searches of Iraqi vehicles? Is that not an OCCUPATION? How about the genocide happening RIGHT NOW Army? Why must you always ignore that? If we leave now, the wonderful lives Iraqis have will change? WRONG. The killing continues regardless of how much American blood we mix in with it. Reality shows you this daily. You refuse to open your eyes. You wish rain on those desiring peace. You show your true colors, Army. And they are not pretty, or admirable.

Gee Hack, your last few posts remind me of the old anger mamanement Hack. Chill out and throttle back you are redlining.

I have a different opinion than the "peace" advocates. That is my God given right.

Any genocide happening in Iraq is not the fault of the US, but Al Queda, which by the way is lately pissing off the Iraqis that are fighting back and turning more of them in.

Yes, some Sunnis and Shites are settling old scores, but I believe that there can be improvement if we continue to support the Iraqi government.

So there, you think that you are right, I think that I am right. As two passionate warriors, we will not back down so let's at least be respectful. Phrases like "You show your true colors, Army. And they are not pretty, or admirable." have no place in this debate, unless you want to sink to the level of he who shall be nameless and ignored.

Cheers back at you.

from all the jet noise.

Cheers to you. There is absolutely no ground to be gained or given by us on this subject. Please don't blame democrats if the middle east doesn't flourish with democracy. And, by the way, I will definitely blame your side when it doesn't work out Smiling
