Did anyone besides me see the large, billowing cloud of smoke from the Mcdonough area around 1pm Friday? I've asked some of my coworkers and checked the news but noone seems to know anything about it. what's up? By the way Citizen, what happened to the arrest reports?

The state was doing a "controlled" burn southeast of where you saw the smoke, about 20-30 miles away.
The thing controlled about it was not the wind.
It choked a lot of people and probably toxified some, since that kind of burning is toxic to breathe.

I saw it too on my way to work. It wasn't very black so it must have been a house fire or buisness. Many of the people I work with live in that area and were not sure where it was coming from. I saw it as soon as I crossed the line into Henry Co.

there seems to be no news about this because it seemed to be very large, whatever it was. I think it must have been industrial in nature due to the overwhelming amount and sheer size of the smoke.
