Do you believe in miracles?

The McIntosh Chiefs boys basketball team has qualified for the state tournament for the first time in the school’s history. The Chiefs beat the Creekside Seminoles 54-47 on Wednesday night, less than two weeks removed from a 58 point loss to Creekside. Coach Jason Eisele credited Robert Chubb (55) with playing a huge game on defense in the win. McIntosh will now take on their longtime rivals, the Fayette County Tigers, today at 5:30 p.m., for a trip to the region championship game. For more on this game and all region basketball tournament action, see the story in Sports Section. Photo/Ian Davis.

Has it been so long for you all (CAL ESPECIALLY!) to forget about JEFF SHEPHARD, one of the greatest players to ever come out of Georgia HS Basketball, who led McIntosh to a state FINAL FOUR before going on to lead KENTUCKY to a NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!?

I see where the AJC is also reporting this as a "first" in McIntosh history ... even quoted the Chiefs' coach as saying such. HUH?

AM I MISSING SOMETHING, MIKE? Do some research, folks! McIntosh deserves better than this!

I remember Jeff S. Smiling The Chiefs didn't go to the region tournament or state when Jeff played. Jeff was great basketball player!
