Fayette County high School hosted the area 2-AAAA wrestling championships on Friday and Saturday and local teams represented themselves well. Not only did Whitewater place first and Starr's Mill place second but eight wrestlers from three different area schools won individual titles.

They were:
103 - Starr's Mill's Jason Allen
125 - Starr's Mill's Joseph Hoyt
145 - Starr's Mill's Brandon Witta
152 - Whitewater's Jordan Strain
160 - Whitewater's Jacob Williamson
171 - Fayette County's Audy Whittington
189 - Fayette County's Patrick Blankenbeker
215 - Whitewater's Zac Williamson

As a proud parent of a wrestler I find it very dissapointing that FCHS does not show the same support it does for it's basketball team. While attending Saturdays Tournament in which we advanced 8 of our wrestlers to the State Tournament this week we had to Champions and even had 2 freshman advance to the state tournament there was no sign of any one from the administration and the lack of student body support is quite shameful. For those of you who care the tounament starts Wednesday night Show your support! Oh I forgot theres a basketball game Wednesday night I guess you won't miss that.

Good Luck FCHS wrestlers!!!!!!!!!!!!
