Candidates face off in Dec. 6 runoff for PTC mayor

In the days leading up to the Nov. 8 election, mayoral candidate Harold Logsdon continued to outpace incumbent mayor Steve Brown in terms of cash donations.

From Oct. 1 to Oct. 25, Logsdon reported accepting $5,930 in cash contributions. During the same time frame, Brown reported $800 in cash contributions, not including a loan to his campaign from himself for $1,396 for campaign signs and campaign handouts.

Georgia law requires candidates to list all donors who give more than $101 in cash or in-kind services. Brown listed a $350 contribution from Robert Rothley and a $100 contribution from Grady Stone, in addition to $350 in funds where each donation was less than $101.

Logsdon reported that just over $4,100 of contributions he received this period were of $101 or more, including:
‰ Friends of Tom Farr, $610.82
‰ Steven and Shirley Good, $150
‰ James and Sandra Saxton, $200
‰ Robert and Gail Stephens, $500
‰ Bill and Angelyn Warren, $500
‰ Scott Bradshaw, $1,000
‰ Ralph Cook, $250
‰ Walter Thomas, $500
‰ Michael Hofrichter, $250 and
‰ Michael McGowan, $150.

Logsdon also reported receiving $1,618 in in-kind contributions of over $101 each, including $100 in beverages and ice from Neil Monroe, $500 in hangar rental from The Flight Academy, $168.35 in food from W.K. Wings and $200 in beverages and ice from the Y-Knot Sports Bar.

All told, Logsdon has raised $24,255 in cash compared to Brown’s $1,700.

So looking through the list of contributions for the election, I found an interesting listing:

Scott Bradshaw, $1,000

Assuming there aren't a plethora of Scott Bradshaw's in the area, I would assume that this is the same Scott Bradshaw who resigned from the Development Authority citing fiscal irresponsibilities. The same one that Steve Brown uses when he cites the problems in the DAPC?

What does it say when that person donates to the Logsdon campaign? In my opinion, it says a lot.

Steve Brown, the people spoke on Election Day. They'll do it again on December 6. They want you gone.
