Please save a pet. Give them a good and loving home and spay and neuter your pets. They will give back ten fold any love you can give to them. Never buy a dog from a breeder or a pet shop, although they need a good home too, it encourages more breeding.

You can go to petharbor.com and put in Fayette zip codes and it brings up the Fayette and Coweta County animal shelters list of adoptable cats and dogs with pictures-also, local rescue groups and their list of adoptable animals. These dogs and cats make wonderful pets and the adoptions fees are very reasonable-cats are $15.00 I believe. Please check here first when considering adopting a pet.
If people would quit purchasing puppy mill puppies they would quit breeding them.

Yes, Pound Puppies are the best! I've had 5 pound dogs and 1 purebred Doberman. The Dobie was a heard-headed idiot. The mutts were all smart, fun, strange, snuggly and eager to please. No matter how bad my day has been, they're always happy to see me. They're better than expensive therapy.

The "purebred" dogs get cancer early and often.(in the U.S., in europe they have tougher standards for breeders, and not as many problems) Adopting animals is the way to go. They actually seem grateful to have a good home. We don't need more breeding we need less, especially backyard breeders.
It is because of a backyard breeder that I have one of my dogs. Some idiot threw out 2 mother dachshunds and their puppies on the side of the road. They probably all of sudden realized it is alot of work to take care of that many dogs. Whatever, I have a great dog because of that worthless idiot.
