Mr Logsdon

You sir, are a sham. You have stood around and said nothing. You have had an opportunity to be involved but have chosen to sit back and hope you get elected.

Sstand up for what you believe. Tell us something.Anything.

We are voting agianst you otherwise.

SORRY: I posted this in the wrong place.

I am familiar with Drupal and other such systems.

Really recommend phpBB for users' postings. It is more organized, versatile and easier to use for non technical people than any Blog system.

http://www.phpbb.com/

Easy to mod and I don't see many mods that would really be needed for postings for the citizen.

Won't bug you on that point any more. Smiling

Naw, not yet.

Did you attend any of the live candidate forums (the one at the Gathering Place, the one at the Wyndham, and the other forum, sorry - don't know the location) prior to the general election.

If you did, did you not listen to Mr. Logsdon then? I guess I'm a bit confused as to why there are several who appear to completely ignore the campaign prior to the general election. Were all the issues out there then?

Did you make a list of the candidates and rank them in the order you think you would vote for them? If you did not, perhaps your research methodology is flawed. I don't believe an extra debate would really help you.

idontknow really doesn't know anything does he? Logsdon failed the community. He had an opportunity to stand up and look at Brown and say "Is this who you want?" he didn't. He ran. He had no backbone. Now he has to show us what he relaly is and what he can really do for us.

Was he scrared of Mr Brown? Or were his people afraid of what he would really show the fine peole of PTC?

First off, good guess on gender...but perhaps you're wrong!

Secondly, I guess I'll sum it up with a hypothetical.

If I were Logsdon, being accosted by two high schoolers while I'm on my roof asking me to come to a "debate" in three days with the clear runner-up, only to determine that the runner-up put the idea in the kids' heads, booked the room himself, and made sure it was on a night where he'd get extra press by cancelling the regular business meeting of the City Council, I'd say no.

If I were a candidate and decided to challenge someone to a debate at Picnic Park on Saturday at 3pm and tell the press tomorrow, is that a "public forum"? To me it sounds more like a schoolyard fistfight challenge.

Logsdon felt he didn't need to come, and I guess neither did 34,900 other people (I'll give the attendance the benefit of the doubt and say 100 people were there). The "community" that went to the "monobate" seems awful small in comparison to the "community" that pays taxes and votes.

Thanks for stopping by, tired. Please go vote on the 6th, and leave unsubstantiated accusations without basis in fact for another online forum.

(eyes roll)

We need smilies! Where are the smilies?

Submitted by Reality Bytes on Wed, 11/23/2005 - 11:39pm.

Smilies are, of course, on the REAL forum packages we pine for.

That wasn't there before! I see it has been added to the guidelines statement below the posting box as well.

Use to stop at being able to add images.

Thanks!

I just added a smilies module. Just use the normal ascii smilies like you would in any chat client and they should now show up as little graphics.

Sorry not to respond to your requests quicker - most of the technical ones get forwarded on to me by Cal and the gang, but I haven't had much time to read through them. There's a lot of exciting projects that we're working on right now for this community.

Cal has tasked me to go through your all of your comments for technical suggestions. Right off the bat, I'd tell you all that the forums are already available in the navigation, but they seem to not be as "interactive" as having people post directly to the stories and the blog entries. I think one of the strengths of using this software is that everything on the site is comment-able. It creates a much more robust community feel than normal, stale news sites.

Feel free to email any technical feature requests directly to me - I'll review them with Cal, Crissi, Emily, Joanna, and Joyce and see if they want to invest the resources to realize them. The smilies module was a simple thing.

In case any of you are geeks and interested, we're using software called Drupal for this site. More info here: http://www.drupal.org.

You can email me at msolberg@aiscomputers.com.

Thanks!
