Something very nice

chippie's picture

I wanted to post something pleasant: have you noticed the property located on S. Jeff Davis Drive, behind the Flash Foods and across from Mowell Funeral Home? The lot has been cleaned out and a walking path has been laid down around a huge tree. I haven't heard or seen anything about who is responsible, but it's very nice! Thank you!

I've wondered about that lovely area myself. I've thought perhaps it was the funeral home's property, and that area was for people who needed a break, a place for reflection, or perhaps to mourn away from others at the funeral home, just my thought.

I agree with your thoughts of it being a perfect place for visitors of the funeral home. But I sure wouldn't want anyone who may be distracted to try to cross Jeff Davis - that traffic can be crazy when in a car, I don't even want to think about someone on foot trying to cross it!

Surely someone who blogs here must know; let us know if you ever find out.

The city of Fayetteville built this park. I'ts called May Harp Park. The ribbon cutting will be held in the spring. This park is one of the good things the city has done. Smiling

Go to the city web site, check the agendas and minutes. You will see how they plan to build on every foot of vacant land in the city.

That's not a good thing. Smiling
