New Fayetteville Middle School

I am new to the area and am curious to know why the new middle school in Fayetteville will only have 300 students when it opens It seems a waste of resources when the other schols are at capacity. My child is at Rising Star where they have trailers and we have heard there are more on order. Anyone know the reason why?

Another great planning blunder by the FCBOE. Why can't kids for other "zones" enroll in the new school. careful what you wish for, my kids attend WHS and it won't be long before the trailers show up, what a shame!

Mainly because they didn't think before they built the new school. I'm not sure of many areas that they moved from Rising Starr to the new school.

Other opinions may vary.

did not lose anyone to the new middle school. Only those snooty ptc kids and some kids from wwms got moved. i was actually shocked when our neighborhood did not get moved. i guess the "powers" that be deemed it necessary to keep rising starr together. i'm not pointing any sticky fingers, i would like my son to go to bennet's mill for the new tech and facility. maybe they will let other kids apply to go over there.

There are eight fifth grade classes going to Rising Star next year just from Peeples alone How can they justify a middle school at capacity close to an empty one. Up north heads would roll and tax payers would revolt.

to the new middle school. my son tells me how crowded the lunch room is as well as his classes. If they need more kids than why did'nt they take my neighborhood? we have 2 busloads of kids. i heard that rising star was getting more trailers which is crazy because we just added on to the school. it makes me wonder....
