We at Mowell Funeral Home make ever effort to help families place obituary notices in any newspaper. We try to be as accurate as possible with the information a family gives us and to relay that correctly to the newspapers. We cannot, however, determine what editorial liberties the obituary editor will take regarding the information. We understand that the notices are placed at no charge to the families. Anyone can view full and complete obituaries at our website anytime at www.mowellfuneralhome.com.

Mr. Linville attended Cincinnati Bible Seminary and served as a Christian minister before being drawn into a long career in law enforcement, which took him from dispatcher to patrolman, to vice detective, to marine harbor patrolman. He was a talented musician, had a keen sense of humor, and was a loving father and grandfather. He loved Jesus.

Mark, I know this is going to be a tough Thanksgiving for you and your family, but on behalf of the thousands of people who read your very touching letter about your Dad, thank YOU for sharing it with us. The bond you and your Dad shared is quite evident. No question that when the two of you are reunited there is going to be one gigantic hug going on in Heaven!

I lost my Dad just before Thanksgiving last year, and for what it's worth, we spent a lot of time telling funny stories about Dad that day. It helped ease some of the pain, and there were lots of tears that flowed that day, as I am sure you can imagine. But a lot of those tears were tears from laughing about some of the funny stuff that Dad did and all those stories we remembered...

Thanks again from your friends, neighbors and mostly those of us who don't know you, but now feel we do. Happy Thanksgiving.

Dan Tennant
