Initial plans for Friendship Village, the first of three proposed villages in Chattahoochee Hill Country, have been submitted to Georgia Dept. of Community Affairs. Plans call for developing 5,981 residential units, nearly a million square feet of retail and office space and 96,500 square feet of civic and institutional use on 1,997.6 acres.

Friendship Village is a project of Atlanta developer Minerva Properties, LLP.

The project is located north of South Fulton Parkway in the vicinity of Rivertown Road and Porter Terry Road. The site is west of Cascade-Palmetto Road and is approximately 2.5 miles north of Palmetto. Developers plan to access water supplies from the City of Atlanta and wastewater treatment capabilities from Fulton County.

Friendship Village is subject to approval through the Development of Regional Impact (DRI) process. Subsequent required actions involving Fulton County will include rezoning and variance requests.

The Chattahoochee Hill Country vision includes the development of three villages and an undetermined number of hamlets within the current 32,000 acre region. The first of the Hamlets, Serenbe, is currently in development. Long-held Hill Country concept plans call for maintaining approximately 80 percent of the Hill Country area as greenspace.

Mudcat and Direct PAC must’ve opened up a chapter in South Fulton. Another million square feet of retail with this one too. Well that’s another 80,000 cars on I-85.

Maybe the state should pass a forced birth control law like they have in China. We could begin with Mudcat and the Direct PAC people first. Wait a minute, that would mean fewer people to payoff the development authority debt the city just financed for us. And fewer shoppers for the large stores going in Coweta on the other side of TDK.

I thought you said, Mudcat, that bad_ptc was Steve Brown. You’re sick Mudcat and you need professional help.

I was excited until I got to the part where we heard it was in South Fulton instead of Peachtree City. Oh well, South Fulton needs the growth more than we do. Congrats!

You could always move there. That would be exciting.

Also I have heard that in Detroit newsreporters have spotted a bird, just one, but...maybe...just maybe you could build a warehouse there and cut down the tree that bird is living in. That would make you even happier wouldn't it?
I'm surprised you are still here, I have heard that Gary In. has some very nice alleys with lots of garbage in them for alley cats. Go on shooo, flea hotel, shooo.

Maybe that's why I confuse them. Or maybe it's because I am old and tired and ain't too bright Eye-wink

muddle is way too intelligent, and forward thinking. He thinks clearly and calmly, and never baits people into an angry debate.

How could you confuse the two????
