Catch 22

A lot on these comments lately about religion. It is so diverse that we seem to be totally fascinated by it all, rather than converted to a method of worship. Whatever "worship" means. (bands, music, hollerers, people who seem to be dying on the stage, etc.)
The TV "evangelists" are the most amuzing and hard to figure. There seems to be a catch 22 situation with them (catch 22: if you are smart enough to want to be a televangelist then you can't be one!) If one can compare the total of the money they take in (estimate, since they won't tell you) to how much of it goes for the downtrodden of the world, it is next to a negative percentage.
When questioned about that, they say: well we must keep building satellite stations and maintaining the ones we have to keep existing. More shut down sometimes than we can build! Also, then there are all these people who run these things who must be paid handsomely, and of course the main plug (boss) must own several horse farms, mansions, jets, movie production companies making garbage, provide for retirement in California or Cancun or Florida, and all of my family must be wealthy so as not to be diverted from taking over when I retire. Not much different at large local churches, either. Some of them own $50,000 worth of robes, special garments, and vehicles worth $500,000.
Unlimited expense accounts are a must.
Too bad they can't multiply fish and bread.
