The five, four juveniles and one adult, were identified by footage from surveillance equipment at the center, police said. Each was charged with one misdemeanor count of theft by taking, police said.

The cash box was stolen from its location near the swimming pool. A witness said that prior to the theft a group of male juveniles was seen lingering around the cash box.

The adult was identified as Gavin Cluston Montgomery, 17, of Thorne Ridge Trail, Fayetteville, police said.

Three of the juveniles, all of whom are 16 years old, were from Fayetteville and the fourth was from Tyrone, police said.
