Fuzzy logic: Logsdon takes no stand on any issue

What a loser. How does a candidate in a two-man runoff for PTC mayor NOT show up at a question and answer? There is only one answer that makes sense. He doesn’t want to be pinned down on any issue and he doesn’t want anyone to know that he stands for absolutely nothing.

Apparently he thinks the citizens of Peachtree City are dumb enough to vote for someone who has not taken a stand on ONE issue. All he says is that he will talk to people and that he will do what is best for Peachtree City. If those are sufficient qualifications, then Steve Brown is just as equally qualified.

I do not agree with everything that Steve has done. I wrote a letter to the editor criticizing him for his ridiculous annexation proposal and did not vote for him in the initial election. He has let me down on some things, but I support what he is doing on others.

With Logsdon, I have no idea whether I agree with him on anything because he has refused to take a stand on even ONE issue.

Even Dan Tennant, who is now supporting Logsdon, acknowledged to me that if I went to his Web site I would find that his “stands” are “kind of fuzzy.” This guy is qualified to be a diplomat, not an office holder.

In the runoff election you can vote for someone you have some problems with or you can vote for someone you could end up disagreeing with on everything because you have no idea what he stands for. Which seems wisest to you?

Bill Webster
Peachtree City, Ga.

Let me state that Bill Webster and I are good friends. He's a very colorful guy, insightful and pretty damn funny. And he whips my butt EVERY time we play golf. He's just got a bad case of misdirection in the mayor's race!

Bill, I know you are a bit leary of Harold. But I really think you owe it to yourself to give Harold the benefit of the doubt. The guy is a hard worker with polished military and business leadership skills, and I think he will work hard for us and be a good and effective mayor.

We all know what he have got with Steve Brown at the helm over the past four years. We need to get rid of the slash and burn political style in favor of a guy who wants to work with others to get things done.

Nobody's perfect Bill, including you and me and Harold. But I'd much rather have an unlimited quantity of a relatively unknown commodity than an ounce of what has proven to be detrimental to Peachtree City.

Please reconsider, and join me in supporting Harold. If you do, I just might let you win yet again on the golf course...

Dan Tennant
