Down Town Tyrone

Someone has probably already suggested this, but here it goes anyway. Bring businesses down town, but use the architecture of back in the time when Tyrone was founded. Keep the old small town look, just modern on the inside. Maybe build an Aquestrian Park Center to keep the rural thing going and bring in more business. Another thing we need on this side of Atlanta is an Ice Skating Rink, but maybe Peachtree City, or Newnan, should take that one on. Just food for thought.

There are probably some really nice development schemes you could use in downtown Tyrone. The only problem is Barry Amos and Mayor Lee have no vision and no respect in the community.

You'll notice that no one from Tyrone was listed on the people of influence poll.

Of all the areas in Fayette County, Tyrone has the most potential. Don't expect them to live up to their potential though. John Wieland owns that town and he's doing it cheap and fast.

are dead. Inadequate parking, prices too high, goods too few, and no circuses to see.
If people don't LIVE downtown as they used to do (within a few blocks) they won't go.
Build some houses downtown to support the stores.
