The Friday morning storm that blew through Fayette County left very minor damage in its wake.

There were some minor reports of trees down, some taking power lines down with them, but there were no injuries or serious property damage related to the storm, officials said.

Fayette County Public Schools worked closely with the Fayette County Department of Emergency Services to make sure the appropriate precautions were taken for student safety, said Capt. Pete Nelms. The two agencies began communicating about the storm approximately an hour before it hit, Nelms said.
