Fayetteville police confirmed Wednesday afternoon that they are investigating two additional reports of young children being injured at the Magnolia Park day care center.

Last week police arrested an employee there on a felony charge of cruelty to children based on a 14-month-old child whose arm was broken in two places. Trista Bowlden, 22, of Griffin,

At the time of Bowlden's arrest, police confirmed they were also looking into a similar incident that occurred Dec. 1 with a 2-month-old baby but the investigation was slowed somewhat because of multiple suspects, police said.

The two newly-reported incidents involve a 9-month-old who was hurt in August 14 and a 14-month-old who was hurt Sept. 11. In both those cases, the victims had arm injuries, police said.

An attorney for the child whose injury led to Bowlden's arrest said the child's arm was broken in two places and the parents were told he had fallen off a child-size picnic table. But three doctors reviewed the injury and said there is no way that could have happened, said attorney Eldridge Suggs IV.

There was more of an uproar and outrage on the Citizen about the abused dog than there has been on this child. Oh well...... these days animals trump children.

Good grief.

It should be clear to you by now that many people try to stay away from children if possible. They cry, they scream, they wet their diapers, they have to eat certain food, they need clothes, they need schooling, they need to be taught, and are generally a pain.
Dogs and cats can be fooled with or not fooled with. They can be just turned out to go until you are ready to see them again. They don't talk back, they will eat anything, no school is required, no clothes are required, and you can just have them killed when they become a problem. They make you feel superior.
They are company and kids are trouble.

Dogs and horses are much easier to care for and train. For starters they don't talk back, and you don't have to bail them out of jail.

I believe if folks spent as much time researching a good daycare as they do looking for a good deal on e-Bay some of these situations could be avoided. Are day care workers regulated, licensed or certified to provide daycare? This is sad!

I just can't find the words to express how mad this makes me.
I hope the place is closed down.
It's hard for me to believe that the director knew nothing about this.
Last I heard, there are 3 or 4 precious children who have broken arms.
